"Fair Folk"

Select stills and photos from "FairFolk"

For "Fair Folk" I designed the costumes, the makeup, as well as staging the feast on the table.

Costumes

For the character of the Hiker, I wanted something normal and grounded that would contrast the costumes of the fairies. The Fairy Queen's costume was comprised of found objects from the actress' wardrobe and items sourced by myself.

Set

For the feast laid out on the table, it was important for me to show bounty with all of the fresh fruits and vegetables, decadence with the desserts, and something to signify a food that the Hiker craves with the fried chicken. I intentionally wanted to invoke a buffet or banquet with all of the food mysteriously in the forest to show the fantastical nature of it, and signify to the audience that the food is a dangerous gateway for the fairies.
